About us

The German Institute for Vascular Research gGmbH (DIGG) was founded in Berlin in 2009 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the German Society for Vascular Surgery and Vascular Medicine – Society for Surgical, Endovascular and Preventive Vascular Medicine e.V. (www.www.gefaesschirurgie.de).

As the scientific institute of the professional society, the DIGG oversees all registry surveys and quality assurance programmes of the DGG e.V.

Furthermore, we see it as our responsibility to support the scientific and academic development of the vascular medicine community and aim to bring together a network of interested vascular medicine specialists. In addition to supporting scientific projects, we organise webinars and events where ideas and experiences come together synergistically.

To fulfil our tasks, we have at our disposal not only the management and the medical-scientific directorate of the institute, but also staff and consultants from various administrative and scientific fields.
